The Outsiders: Feb 28-Mar 1, 2025
S.E. Hinton wrote The Outsiders at just 16, crafting a powerful story about teens on opposite sides of class divides. Told through the eyes of Ponyboy, a sensitive Greaser caught in the rivalry with the privileged Socs, the story explores friendship, identity, and the struggles of growing up. Anchored by Robert Frost’s poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay," the narrative reflects on the fleeting innocence of youth and the hope for decency amidst conflict. With vivid characters like the tough yet vulnerable Dallas, the cheerful Sodapop, and the conflicted Cherry, this timeless tale captures the realities of life, love, and loss.
